Chiang Mai ( Oct 2012 )

This trip was actually 4D3N but something went wrong on the first day and its really exciting. Our plane ran away jor.. LOL.... its not because we reached airport late but because the stupid AA counter shown some mistake... ARRGGHHH!!! But because of our eagerness, we wanted to make this trip no matter how!! LOL

Ran to the customer service counter, we booked another two tix for the next day. oh yea!

So, we arrived our cozy home in ChiangMai called Singha Montra. Niceeee cooOooLLLLL cozzzyyyy stay there~~!! La la la ~~ Love it sooooo much~~

So we took this Elephant safari tour (T1008) by travel hub http://www.travelhubchiangmaitours.com cost 900thb per pax
Elephant safari tour brought us to orchid farm, bamboo rafting, ox-carting, elephant show and a complimentary lunch in Maetaman elephant camp.

Bamboo rafting

After the day, we decided to have a nice cruising dinner at Mae Ping River. On the dinner cruise we get to enjoy the traditional thai food and seeing parts of the city usually inaccessible to most visitors.

On the next day, we visited the highlights on this trip~ KAREN VILLAGE and THE WHITE TEMPLE!!
Same thing we let travel hub to manage this trip also (T1012). This is the combination on visiting the fascinating long neck village, Chiang Rai province and the Golden Triangle. Cost us 1200baht per pax.

As the previous day, travel hub arranged transport to our hotel to pick us up. Our first destination of the day is Mae Kha Jan Hot Spring. Me and my friend had our early morning fish spa there before we proceed our journey to the white temple~
Mae Kha Jan Hot Spring

And here we go THE INCREDIBLE WHITE TEMPLE!!!!!

After that we continue up to the Golden Triangle for a boat trip across the Mekong River to the Lao side. Children in poverty approached us when we touched down.. sympathy on them but can't help.. T.T

After the boat trip, we visited Mae Sai the thai border town with Myanmar for some shopping and local food trying.

On the last day, we caught the tour to visit Bhubing palace and the famous temple in Chiang Mai, Doi Suthep temple.
Bhubing palace is the royal residence in Chaing Mai where the Royal family stays during seasonal visit to the people in the northern part of the country. It was built in 1961. A nice and chilly place.

There are some Do and Don't when u visit Doi Suthep temple.
- Dress politely, do not wear shorts
- Show respect int he temple and shrine
- Take off your shoes before entering the platform around the Golden Chedi
- Keep your head lower than Buddha images and monks
- Don't touch the Buddha images
- Don't display affection for another person in public
- Always keep clean

You'll get this list when you purchase the ticket at the entrance

Well, these are the places I visited when I went Chiang Mai. The most regretful thing in this trip was we missed the game on the first day. FLIGHT OF THE GIBBON!!! I bought the most platform package... arrgghhh!! hahaha
